Characteristics of psychotropic drugs*
Biochemical poisons disrupt the body's normal chemical balance or interfere with its chemical processes, disrupting or stopping all its vital functions (glands, brain, liver, heart, vision, body defenses...).
They are poisons of the mind which, by causing or aggravating mental disturbances, hinder the survival of the individual, his family and the society in which he lives. These products will eventually degrade his personality, destroy his abilities and destroy his awareness of right and wrong.
A high dose of any of these products can kill.
Addiction (the need to increase the dose to obtain the initial effect),
dependence (physical or mental suffering when they stop) and
withdrawal problems testify to the importance of the disturbances caused by these poisons.
* psychotropic = acts on the mind
